SUMMARY: The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of flooring materials within our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for picking and packing customer orders, receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, maintaining organized inventory, and performing regular cycle counts. The role also includes coordinating basic shipping and logistics tasks to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. The Warehouse Associate must be able to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately for delivery or customer orders, based on work orders and pick tickets.
- Receive incoming shipments from vendors, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and inspect products for damage or defects.
- Perform inventory management duties, including stock rotation, labeling, and routing cycle counting.
- Enter incoming materials into inventory system and label appropriately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with shipping logistics, including preparing bills of lading, coordinating carrier pickups, and maintaining shipment records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment at all times.
- Ensure that flooring products are stored properly to prevent damage and maintain product integrity.
- Support warehouse process improvements and assist with special projects as needed.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous warehouse labor, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to operate forklift proficiently.
- Current forklift certification or ability to obtain one required. (will be trained)
- Basic computer skills for data entry, inventory systems, and shipping documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work throughout the day, in an unconditioned warehouse.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
WORK LOCATION & HOURS REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires full-time, on-site presence at our Austin, TX (78752) location.
- The standard schedule is Monday – Friday; occasionally weekend work may be needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl, talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds individually, and team lift heavier materials as needed.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
