About This Position
The Storage Manager is responsible for the efficient, secure, and revenue-optimized management of Cadogan Tate’s San Francisco storage facility. This role focuses on maximizing storage space utilization, improving inventory accuracy, and ensuring an exceptional client experience from intake to retrieval. By working closely with warehouse teams, client managers, and logistics, the Storage Manager ensures the smooth coordination of property movement, inventory integrity, and client satisfaction. This role plays a key part in supporting storage revenue goals by ensuring all areas are accurately recorded, presented professionally, and efficiently utilized.
Main Responsibilities:Conduct regular inventory checks on loose racking locations, private client vaults, and all storage areas to ensure all property is accurately recorded in internal systems.
Manage the end-to-end client storage experience, including collection, intake, movement, and viewing of property, to consistently exceed client expectations.
Work closely with Warehouse Supervisors and lead weekly operations meetings to align on storage tasks, capacity updates, and day-to-day operations.
Allocate storage space for incoming property and ensure accurate location recording in the online database (e.g., iLive).
Monitor and document all property movements, including released and relocated items, to ensure full traceability.
Report any discrepancies, damage, or missing items to Client Managers promptly and professionally.
Ensure tidy, organized, and fully utilized storage spaces, maintaining a clean, safe, and client-ready environment.
Prepare and support client account viewings, coordinating with both clients and staff to ensure a seamless experience.
Continuously monitor and improve space optimization strategies to support storage revenue growth.
Serve as a brand ambassador for Cadogan Tate by maintaining a professional appearance and consistently displaying a courteous demeanor at all times.
Ensure full compliance with HR policies, health and safety regulations, and internal procedures.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse, storage, or logistics management.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse best practices, and storage optimization.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills; proven ability to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and workplace compliance.
Experience with inventory management software, especially Moveware or iLive.
Experience managing high-value, private client property or fine art logistics is a strong plus.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage sensitive or complex client interactions professionally.
