About the Role
Compensation: $125,000-$149,999 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.
(Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.)
Roundhouse is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to serve as a critical execution partner within its Investments team. Reporting to the Managing Director of Investments, the Senior Asset Manager is responsible for driving business plan execution, monitoring portfolio performance, and escalating material issues across Roundhouse's portfolio of assets. This role operates as the primary execution layer between Investments leadership and the property management and construction teams translating strategic direction into day-to-day action. A solution-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills are essential as you collaborate across the organization including the Senior Leadership Team, Investments, Accounting, Development, and Property Management teams, as well as external stakeholders to deliver results in line with the Roundhouse's goals and objectives.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities
- Execute and continuously refine asset-level business plans as directed by Investment team leadership, driving actions that maximize property value and investment returns.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews to track performance against business plan targets, flagging variances and escalating material issues for resolution.
- Drive budgeting and annual business planning processes for portfolio properties in coordination with Investments team leadership, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strong financial performance.
- Analyze financial statements, manage capital expenditures, and forecast future financial needs.
- Work with Analyst team to provide all lender-required financial reports.
- Leverage technology and AI tools to improve reporting, analytics and operational efficiency across the portfolio.
- Oversee execution of construction projects from inception to completion, including budget, timeline, and quality control.
- Coordinate Roundhouse’s in-house construction and property management teams to ensure projects meet or exceed timelines and expectations.
- Act as the primary liaison between property management team and the investments team to ensure smooth property operations, reporting, and prompt resolution of underperformance.
- Escalate material property management issues, underperformance, or deviations from the business plan to leadership in a timely manner with recommended corrective actions.
- Responsible for holding property management accountable to property business plans
- Guide best practices in property management to enhance overall asset performance
- Direct and develop Analysts supporting asset management workflows, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables aligned with the investments team’s priorities.
- Foster a culture of performance excellence, innovation and accountability
- Proactively identify issues, develop recommended solutions, and drive execution without requiring constant direction, while keeping investments team leadership informed and aligned on priorities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality, ensuring all deadlines are met
Travel
Periodic travel required to visit properties, meet with stakeholders, or attend industry events
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years in real estate, with at least 3 years in a senior asset management role
- Proven experience in managing budgets, overseeing construction projects, and interfacing with property management teams
- Demonstrated experience with AI applications in real estate, or a strong aptitude for learning and implementing such technologies
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a high degree of accountability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices
