Position Summary

As a Talent Development Officer, you will lead the bank’s talent and leadership development efforts by creating and delivering programs that strengthen individual and team capabilities. This role identifies training needs, develops development strategies through in-house learning and external partnerships, and supports key initiatives such as the Employee Engagement survey process, succession management documentation, and performance management tools and training. In addition, this position serves as an HR generalist by supporting employee relations, leave administration, policy interpretation, reporting, and cross-functional HR projects.

Skills & Attributes Needed

The following skills and attributes are needed to be successful in your banking career as a Talent Development Officer:

  • Ability to design, deliver, and support leadership, training, and team development programs with a strategic, people-first approach
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and policy interpretation; provides sound guidance while balancing employee needs with organizational expectations
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forms.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of HR experience, including talent management and employee engagement experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Leadership, or related field or equivalent combination of education and training is required.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems required, ADP experience preferred.
  • Prior experience and/or exposure to benefits administration preferred.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or related credential) preferred.
