Position Summary:
The UNM-Valencia Campus is accepting applications for temporary,part-time faculty to teach Freshman and Sophomore level Mathematics andStatistics courses. If online teaching is needed, documented acceptedtraining and/or in-house training would be required. Positions arecontingent upon the need of each semester as determined by student enrollmentlevels and current course offerings. This is a continuous recruitment beginningin the Fall 2026 semester.

Located about 30 miles south ofAlbuquerque in rural Valencia County, The University of New Mexico-ValenciaCampus is a two-year branch campus of The University of New Mexico, whichfunctions as a community college in the region and is designated a HispanicServing Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, ValenciaCampus offers academic transfer programs, technical programs, Adult Education,and Dual Credit courses to high schools in Valencia and Socorro Counties. Applicants who are appointed to a UNM faculty position are required to provide an official certification of successful completion of all degree requirements prior to their initial employment with UNM.Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Mathematics or Master's degree in a related field and 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics.
• Two years of experience teaching freshman and/or sophomore-level Mathematics courses

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D., ABD, or EdD in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
• At least one year of successful teaching experience at a community college.
• Documented training to teach online classes.
• A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities
