The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Coordinator ensures compliance with ACGME, institutional, and program requirements, supports residents and fellows throughout their rotations, and serves as the key liaison between program leadership, residents, faculty, and the GME Office.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 year experience in Medical Education, or related field
  • Knowledge of ACGME accreditation policies and GME regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Residency Management Software

Preferred:

  • Certification as a Training Administrator for Graduate Medical Education(C-TAGME) preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift- 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Monday-Friday
  • Full Time-Day

Essential Functions:

  • Program Administration & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with ACGME Institutional and Common Program Requirements across all assigned surgical programs
  • Maintain resident/fellow personnel files, licensure, certifications, evaluations, and compliance documents.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of residents/fellows, ensuring completion of all regulatory requirements.
  • Record and maintain all surgical resident/fellow rotations in New Innovations
  • Serve as the first point of contact for surgery residents and fellows regarding schedules, policies, and site-specific concerns
  • Coordinate rotation schedules, assignments, and call schedules
  • Facilitate communication of hospital policies and clinical expectations
  • Assist with credentialing and hospital onboarding processes for new and rotating residents
  • Act as a liaison between surgical program leadership, the GME Office, hospital administration, and external accrediting/regulatory bodies
  • Support interdepartmental collaboration across clinical services impacted by resident/fellow rotations
  • Monitor and escalate site-level issues related to scheduling, compliance, or resident experience to GME leadership
  • The Thoracic Fellowship and Surgery Site Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to multiple surgical residency and fellowship programs, including:

Thoracic Surgery (.3 FTE – ACGME Program Requirements), Anesthesia, General Surgery, Integrated Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Hand Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Urology, Podiatry, Trinitas Podiatry, Vascular Surgery
