Job Description
The Residence Manager, Floating is assigned by the Director of Residential Services to provide interim support to ICF and/or IRA residences that are in need of additional oversight or leadership. The Residence Manager, Floating facilitates that the quality of care provided for the residents conforms to the standards, philosophy, policies, and procedures set by Opengate Inc.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide oversight to residential staff asassigned.
- Provide on-going training, supervision, support and mentoring to assigned staff.
- Ensure that employees participate in required training sessions.
- As applicable, complete staffing schedules, ensuring that staffing patterns and minimums aremaintained,andshiftandstaff assignments are postedforeach shift.
- As applicable, conductregularly scheduledmeetings with staffto provide coachingwith an emphasis ontheDSPCore Competencies.
- As applicable, completeperformancereviews forassigned staff.
- As applicable, complete IPP reports andparticipatein Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)and/orlifeplandevelopmentmeetings.
- As applicable, ensure that treatment plans arecurrentandrequireddocumentation is completed contemporaneously.
- As applicable, develop and implement recreation and activities schedules that meet theresidents’interests.
- As applicable, develop positive rapports andmaintaintimelyandappropriate communicationwithresidents, theirfamilies, day programs and assignedstaff.
- As applicable, ensure proper finance managementfor residents, including themaintainingofledgers, andsecuringdebit cards and funds at all times.
- Provide transportation coverage for residentsas neededusinganagency vehicle.
- Provide coverageon the floor as needed.
- Adhereto theagency’s incident management procedures.
- Follow up on recommendations made by the Incident Review Committee(IRC).
- As applicable, ensure the physical plant is free of risk,reporting issues to Maintenance as appropriate, and ensure timely follow up.
- As applicable, manage petty cashfunds.
- As applicable,submit purchase orders resident and/or residence needs.
- As applicable, foodpurchasing,handlingand storage.
- As applicable, ensure staff areproperly trainedand proficientonelectronic systems such asFIIX,ADP, Precision Care,eRequesterand Relias.
- Participate inthe agency’s internalauditprocess.
- Attend meetings and trainingsessions,as directed.
- Follow federal,stateand local governmental regulatory guidelinespertaining toa safe, healthy, and clean work environment, reporting health and safety concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 yearsofexperience in a supervisory role.
- Minimum of 2 years working with the I/DD population.
- Proficiencyinbasic computer skillsrequired.
- Must maintain AMAP certification and ability to drive agency vehicles
Physical Requirements
- This position is a non-sedentary role that requires frequent standing and walking.
- Able to lift 50 or more poundsand ability to turn, lift and assist people receiving services with movement.
- This position operates in a professional office environment.
- This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones,photocopier, filingcabinetsand fax machines. Some filing is required requiring the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend orstandas necessary.
Salary - $80,000 annually compensation will be commensurate with job qualifications and work experience.
