About This Position

ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: NON-PRIORITY RECRUITMENT

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to serve as the face of our Human Resources & Organizational Development department. This role will involve a mixture of customer service and front desk duties, as well as providing support for a variety of HR functions.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling both small tasks and larger projects with efficiency and professionalism. The HR Assistant will play a key role in fostering positive employee experience through event planning, as well as supporting daily HR operations. You must be a proactive, customer-focused individual with a passion for HR and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provides customer service and clerical support, assisting with employee and visitor questions, including answering the phone, scheduling, document verification, scanning, filing, and responding to HR inquiries.
• Collaborates with the Organizational Development Specialist with organizing, planning, and attending hospital events.
• Track and report employee life cycle events (license expirations, certifications, evaluations, etc.).
• Assist with new hire orientation, onboarding, and exit processes.
• Support special projects and maintain department supplies.
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

Job Requirements
• Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to triage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), applicant tracking system (ATS) and similar computer applications.


License/Certification
• N/A

Education and/or Experience
• Associate’s degree in related field preferred.
• Prior related office experience preferred.
• Experience in health care setting preferred.


Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
