General Laborer - Construction in Brighton, Michigan at CORRIGAN ENTERPRISES, INC.

A General Laborer is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including but not limited to cleaning, setting up, grounds and facility maintenance, closing and maintaining facilities to support the achievement of business goals and objectives. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manager of Technical Environmental Services (TES).

Perform various levels of manual labor: operate a variety of light equipment.

Ensure that all work is being done in compliance with company protocol.

Proper safety and incident reporting procedures are to be followed at all times.

Effectively handle lifting of various objects.

Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents.

Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly facility.

Follow written and verbal instructions.

Able to lift 60 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds.

Handle exposure to dust, fumes and high noise levels must wear PPE as required.

Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.

Demonstrate professionalism, be courteous and always be friendly to customers and co-workers.

Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous meetings.

Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as Employee Handbook policies.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Communicate well through emails, over the phone, or face-to-face.

Good interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail including follow up and follow through.

Pass a pre-employment 7-year criminal background check.
