About the role
Insight Xcite is seeking a Network Engineer to support secure, mission-critical enterprise and operational environments within the Intelligence Community. This role involves designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures supporting high-priority customer missions. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, experience working in high-security environments, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network challenges. Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, mission requirements, and overall alignment with customer and contract needs.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise network environments
- Support routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network infrastructure modernization efforts
- Troubleshoot and resolve network performance, connectivity, and security issues
- Support secure communications and operational network environments
- Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, and operational personnel
- Maintain and update network configurations, documentation, and diagrams
- Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and operational sustainment activities
- Ensure compliance with security and operational requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
- Minimum 6 years of network engineering or enterprise infrastructure experience
- Experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies
- Experience supporting secure or mission-critical network environments
- Knowledge of Cisco and/or Juniper technologies
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, and enterprise network architecture
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community customers
- Experience with VoIP or collaboration technologies
- Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments
- Familiarity with network automation or scripting
- Relevant technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Security+
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
The pay range for this role is:
175,000 - 220,000 USD per year(Government Client Site – Chantilly VA)
175,000 - 220,000 USD per year(Government Client Site – Herndon VA)
