Job Description

How many times did you give away personal information on a dodgy website? How hard is it to find the bicycle in a low resolution captcha? How often do you get a scam text or email?

World is creating the technology to prove you're real, online, without handing over your personal data. World is building the largest network of unique humans on the internet, and it's truly groundbreaking!

Your job is to run a kiosk where hundreds of people a day get the chance to join in. A small team — Brand Ambassadors and Brand Promoters — and one daily number. You're the bridge between what the operation needs and what actually happens on the floor: you brief, you coach, you sort issues live, you hit the number, and you tell us what you saw at the end of the day.

We give you the tools, the script, the foot traffic, the training, and a real budget. If you bring the right attitude, the team follows. If they follow, the number follows. And once the kiosk is humming, your team gets a share of the upside that scales with the volume.

Who we are

Syncera is an Operator Partner inside the World network. Our role is on-the-ground: we teach and invite people to join the network. We started this work in Portugal. Then Brazil. Now London.

What makes World different

You'll get this question a lot — from your team, from your candidates, and from people walking past the kiosk. The short, defensible version:

• The internet has an "are you a real human?" problem. Bots, sock puppets, fake accounts. World is the infrastructure that fixes that.

• Privacy-preserving by design. Joining World's 18M+ network doesn't mean handing over your personal data. Neither World nor Syncera UK ever collects, stores, or sells personal data. You are the true owner of your data.

• The ecosystem is real. Verified humans get the World App: mini-apps, chat, games, and partner vouchers (Deliveroo, Uber, etc).

• It's genuinely groundbreaking. No other production-scale system does this with a privacy-first approach. That's why we're hiring you to put a team in front of the public — and to keep them sharp.

We'll teach you everything you need to know about the project on day one. The hard part is the people side, and that's why we're hiring you.

Who this is for

This isn't your typical retail or events Team Leader role.

It's for people who want a chance to be at the forefront of technology — to lead a small team running an operation that hundreds of people a day pass through. People who've already done the "I'm in charge today" thing somewhere — retail, hospitality, events, promotions, sales floor — and want a real ops role with a real ladder.

We can teach you about the project. We can share what we've learned scaling this — 500k verified in Portugal, 200k in Brazil, 14 live locations stood up in Brazil in under three months. We can put you in a system where the next promotion lands in months, not years — Cluster Manager is the rung above, and the floor needs more of you as we open more sites.

What we can't give you is the instinct to read the floor, the discipline to give direct feedback without making it personal, or the comfort of making a call without waiting for approval. Bring those and we'll do the rest.

What the job actually is

You run a kiosk. The day looks like this:

• Lead the shift. A small team — typically two to four Brand Ambassadors and Brand Promoters at a time. You brief them, set the pace, sort issues live.

• Hit the number. A daily onboarding target. You own it, not "the team" in the abstract.

• Coach on the floor. When a Promoter is cold on conversions, you're the one pulling them aside and showing them how. When an Ambassador is ready for the next rung, you're the one telling them, and us.

• Keep the kiosk tight. Stock, kit, clean station, working tablets. If something's broken, you flag it or fix it.

• Own the venue relationship. Day-to-day liaison with the shopping centre's operations contact — incidents, schedule changes, anything that needs handling on-site.

• Recruit. Help us interview and select Promoters and Ambassadors for your kiosk. The team is yours; you should have a say in who joins it.

• Report up. End-of-day number. What blocked you. What you need tomorrow. Short, honest, on time.

What it isn't

Some things are worth being explicit about:

• It isn't sales. Your team isn't selling a product. People come up, get verified for free, and leave with access to a network. That's it.

• It isn't crypto. World is a digital identity protocol — not a coin and not an investment. We don't sell crypto, don't promote investment, and don't collect money from anyone we verify. Syncera UK never collects personal or biometric data — that all sits on users' phones.

• It isn't desk work. This is on-the-floor leadership. You'll be standing in the kiosk most of your day, in uniform, alongside the team — not behind a laptop in a back office.

• It isn't a dotted-line role. You own the kiosk. The team reports to you. The number is yours.

What we want from you

The bar is the people side. Specifically:

• 1–2+ years leading a small team. Retail, hospitality, events, promotions, sales floor — any industry where you ran a shift, a station, or a small crew.

• Direct feedback, no drama. You can tell someone they're underperforming and have them thank you for it.

• Read the floor. You can walk in and know within twenty minutes what's working and what isn't.

• Read the number. Comfortable with daily KPIs, basic spreadsheets, and the difference between a noisy day and a real problem.

• Curious about the project. You don't need to be a crypto person. You need to want to understand what World is and explain it cleanly to a candidate or a team member.

• Reliable. Salaried full-time means you're the person who turns up regardless. The team copies what you do, not what you say.

• Right to work in the UK. We can't sponsor at this stage.

No degree required. What you've actually run, and how the people you ran it with talk about you, is what matters.

What we pay

• Base salary: £35,360/year. Paid monthly, in arrears, on the last working day of each month.

• Performance pool: uncapped on the upside, paid mid-month. The kiosk's whole team builds a shared pool from signup volume on a cumulative bracket structure — push into a higher band and the whole period's signups get repainted at the higher rate. As Team Leader you get a share of your kiosk's pool every period — the better the kiosk does, the bigger your slice.

• Multiplier: starts at 80%, unlocks upward to 100% with tenure (+1%/month) and tier promotions (+5%/tier). Coming in at Team Leader, you start with +10% baked in (90% baseline) — tenure unlocks the rest.

• Holiday: 28 days incl. UK bank holidays.

• Pension: workplace pension, auto-enrolment.

• Paid training before your first shift.

Hours and contract type

This is a full-time salaried PAYE role. 40 hours/week, working pattern set around shopping centre trading hours (includes weekends). Reasonable additional hours come with the role and aren't separately paid — we don't expect you to average more than 48 hours/week, and we won't ask you to opt out of those protections at hire.

Career path

This is honest. The full ladder, in canonical order:

• T1 — Brand Promoter

• T2 — Brand Ambassador

• T3 — Team Leader (this role) (salaried)

• T4 — Cluster Manager (salaried)

Promotions are competency-based, not time-served. As we open more kiosks, Cluster Manager is the next rung — owning a cluster of three to six kiosks, the Team Leaders who run them, and the cluster's number. If you can run one kiosk well, the path to running several is months, not years.

We tell you which rung you're on, what the next one looks like, and what would get you there.

Terms

• Working hours: 40 hours/week within shopping centre trading hours, including weekends.

• Location: anchored to one London kiosk (Westfield Stratford City for our first cohort), with mobility across Greater London as we grow.

• Probation: three months, extendable by a further three.

• Notice: one week each side during probation; one month each side after.

• Restrictive covenants: six-month non-compete (Greater London) and non-solicit of staff and partners post-employment, in line with the role's access to operational know-how. Confidentiality is two years post-termination (longer for trade secrets).

• Uniform & kit: provided.

• Background check: standard pre-employment checks before you start.

How to apply — 30-second video plus a CV

Hit Apply on this listing. The flow takes about 5 minutes and asks for two things, in this order of importance:

A 30-second video. Recorded directly in our applicant flow. Pitch us the World project, the way you'd pitch it to a stranger at the kiosk. Phone camera, one take, real you. We're hiring on attitude, not expertise — we'll teach you the project. What we want to see:

• Your attitude — energy, warmth, curiosity, clarity.

• How you'd open a conversation with someone walking past.

• How you carry yourself when you're the most senior person in the frame.

A CV. At Team Leader we want a real read on what you've actually run and who you've led. Bullet what you owned, who reported to you, what number you hit (or didn't), and what you learned. No marketing-speak. Upload as PDF.

If you want a real ops role with a real ladder — and you're ready to own a kiosk, not just stand in one — record the video.
