Job Description
Are you looking to jump‑start your sales career in a dynamic, hands‑on environment? As a Sales Representative Intern with EST, you’ll gain real‑world experience supporting business development efforts, identifying new opportunities, and helping build strong customer relationships. You’ll learn how to research prospects, support lead generation, assist with quoting opportunities, and represent EST at industry events.
This role is perfect for a motivated individual who enjoys connecting with people, solving problems, and thinking creatively. You’ll work closely with experienced sales professionals, learn our products and services, and contribute directly to EST’s mission, vision, and values. Provide excellent service to prospective and existing customers by responding to inquiries and helping identify their needs.
Maintain professionalism and build strong customer and vendor relationships.
Assist with researching and developing prospect lists using company records, industry resources, and commercial contacts.
Support outbound and inbound communication with prospective customers to explain EST products and services.
Help secure opportunities to quote and promote EST offerings.
Maintain accurate lead information and follow‑up schedules in the company CRM.
Submit required reports to the Sales Manager according to established timelines.
Assist with preparing and delivering presentations for conferences, trade shows, and other events.
Support the sales team with special projects assigned by the Sales Manager.
Research subcontracting opportunities with complementary contractors.
Recommend creative ideas for lead generation and business development.
Help identify new markets, customer segments, and outreach strategies.
Assist with planning and coordinating sales‑related events, networking activities, and trade show participation.
Provide backup support to the sales and business development team as needed.
Travel may be required for events or customer visits (including commercial air travel).
Requirements
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Academic or student organization involvement is a plus.
Strong communication skills; personable, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with new people.
Self‑motivated, organized, dependable, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
Creative problem‑solver with strong initiative.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with marketing or CRM software.
Knowledge of mechanical or electrical equipment is a plus.
