Position SummaryWe are seeking a Nurse Manager – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across the health center.
The Nurse Manager will provide leadership to clinical support staff, drive operational excellence, and partner closely with providers and leadership to ensure efficient, compliant, and compassionate care delivery.
Essential Responsibilities- Oversee daily health center operations across clinical and support teamsMonitor staff schedules, patient flow, and clinic efficiencySet clear expectations and provide leadership to clinical support staffSupport providers in delivering high-quality patient careEnsure timely and accurate completion of staff and provider workflowsEducate staff on policy updates, insurance changes, and process improvementsLead team meetings, huddles, and maintain accurate documentationAddress patient concerns and support service recovery effortsMaintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environmentOversee equipment usage, maintenance, and regulatory complianceSupervise staff performance, scheduling, and timekeepingConduct evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions as neededEnsure staff credentials and certifications remain currentMonitor quality metrics, audits, and compliance with AAAHC standardsManage inventory, supplies, and department budget needsStay current with regulatory requirements including OSHA, NCQA, and CMSServe as subject matter expert for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) programParticipate in community outreach and engagement activities
- Support and model TFHC’s mission, vision, and valuesEnsure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standardsMaintain infection control and safety protocolsComplete administrative documentation and personnel actionsPerform other duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited nursing programActive and unrestricted Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) requiredCurrent BLS certificationMinimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferredExperience in primary care, community health, or public health preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with EHR systems and clinical workflowsAbility to mentor, develop, and motivate staffStrong problem-solving and operational management skills
