The Senior Construction Services Manager provides advanced construction administration and field oversight services for complex projects, serving as a trusted representative of the firm and owner throughout the construction process. This role is responsible for overseeing project execution, maintaining strong client and contractor relationships, supporting project teams during bidding and construction, and helping ensure projects are completed in accordance with contract documents, quality standards, budgets, and schedules. The Senior Construction Services Manager may also provide guidance and mentorship to junior construction services staff and support business development and client engagement efforts.



Your Impact:

  • Provide field oversight and construction administration services for active construction projects.
  • Serve as the senior on-site representative for the owner and firm during construction activities.
  • Read, interpret, and apply construction documents, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance and verify work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including field reports, observation logs, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Review and coordinate submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), pay applications, inspection reports, and change orders.
  • Attend and lead project meetings, jobsite walks, pre-construction meetings, and coordination discussions with clients, contractors, consultants, and governing agencies.
  • Support bidding and procurement activities, including attending pre-bid meetings, preparing addenda, and reviewing pre-bid RFIs.
  • Identify project risks, field conflicts, and schedule concerns while collaborating with project teams to support timely resolution.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior construction services staff as needed.
  • Deliver a high level of client service through proactive communication, responsiveness, and professional representation of the firm.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of construction administration, construction management, or related industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and project delivery methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Experience reviewing submittals, RFIs, pay applications, inspection reports, and change orders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership, clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and governing agencies.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent relationship management and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Here’s How You’ll Stand Out:
  • Experience with construction management platforms such as PlanGrid, Procore, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting public-sector, K-12, Higher Education, or institutional construction projects.
  • Experience mentoring or leading construction services staff and coordinating cross-functional project teams.

The actual offered base salary for California locations will vary depending on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, work location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role will be at or near the top half of the range provided, but the decision will be dependent on the factors of each individual case. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The salary range for this position is below.

$89,888.00 - $134,832.00
