I. General Summary
Regional Orthopaedic Associates is seeking a motivated and dependable Therapy Technician to support our therapy team. This role assists therapists in delivering high-quality patient care by preparing treatment areas, guiding patients through prescribed exercises, and ensuring the clinic operates efficiently.

II. Principal Duties and Essential Functions
• Assist therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans under supervision.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and ensure proper technique and safety.
• Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for patient sessions.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment spaces between patients in accordance with safety and infection control standards.
• Escort patients to and from treatment areas and ensure their comfort throughout their visit.
• Monitor patient progress during exercises and report any concerns to the therapist.
• Maintain an organized and efficient therapy gym environment.
• Assist with patient flow to ensure timely appointments and minimal wait times.
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling support, answering phones, and documenting patient activity as needed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and notify appropriate staff when restocking is needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and foster a positive patient experience.
• Adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.

III. Job Requirements
A. Job Knowledge and Skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High level of attention to detail and organization.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, or exercise science preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under the direction of licensed physical therapists.
• Comfortable assisting patients with mobility and physical activity.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and willingness to learn electronic medical records (EMR).
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

B. Education
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Coursework or active enrollment in a physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or related program is strongly preferred.

C. Experience
• Prior experience in a therapy clinic, healthcare setting, or fitness environment preferred but not required.
• Experience working with patients or customers in a service-oriented role is a plus.

Additional Information
Compensation: Pay is commensurate with skills and experience. A pay range will be displayed, but final compensation will be determined during the hiring process.
