About This Position
Annual Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000
The School for Adaptive and Integrative Learning (SAIL) is actively seeking candidates for the position of Director of Education/Principal, with an anticipated start date of June 2026.
The Director of Education/Principal will play a crucial role in leading innovation, generating ideas, and solving creative problems to meet the diverse and complex needs of our students. This individual will be a culture builder who demonstrates and expects a high level of professionalism, passion, patience, positivity, and empathy.
In this role, the Director will provide executive leadership, ensure compliance with New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), manage the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and oversee school operations to optimize student learning. Responsibilities will include hiring staff, managing budgets, and fostering a positive and safe school culture.
