Position Summary:

The Director of Quality leads, develops, and implements organizational quality systems, standards, and compliance frameworks to ensure products or services meet regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. This role drives a culture of continuous improvement, manages quality assurance staff, and mitigates risks to ensure excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and enforces quality standards, procedures, and methodologies (e.g., ISO) across all operational areas.
  • Develops long-term quality strategies, aligns quality goals with business objectives, and reports on performance to senior management.
  • Ensures compliance with legal and industry standards and leads both internal and external audit preparations.
  • Manages, mentors, and hires quality personnel, fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Identifies areas for improvement, analyzes data trends, and implements corrective or preventive actions to optimize quality.
  • Defines quality requirements for suppliers and oversees testing and inspection protocols for finished products.
  • Manages QMS framework and ensures alignment with organizational objectives.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize and organize targeted and strategic projects or assignments.
  • Strong presentation skills, both in person and virtually.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and effective communicator.
  • Open-minded and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years’ experience in quality leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
  • Experience in a Quality Management System, ISO AS9100 preferred.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the Quality department operation and staff.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Office and manufacturing environments.
  • Travel to other RG Group sites and customer facilities as needed.
