West Cary Group is a full-service, digital marketing and technology agency based in Richmond, Virginia, which services numerous mid-sized local and Fortune 500 clients across a vast array of industries. Position Summary: Manages client needs and responsibilities along with the profitability and growth for an average of 3-5 accounts for West Cary Group.

Role Qualifications:

  • Must execute strategic and tactical planning to meet client needs
  • Must maintain project budgets and administration to achieve account profitability
  • Must contribute to new business opportunities, including idea cultivation, research and proposal preparation

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee strategic planning and creative development/execution
  • Establish and manage program budgets and timelines to ensure overall profitability
  • Develop new opportunities to grow each client’s business through proactive relationship management, word-of-mouth referrals, and going above and beyond surface expectations
  • Collaborate consistently and productively with creative and digital teams to deliver high-quality, on-time marketing and communications solutions
  • Awareness of marketing trends and innovations
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or related field, or equivalent job experience
  • 4-6 years of advertising agency or corporate marketing experience and a solid grasp of marketing and advertising fundamentals
  • Experience with digital and traditional marketing channels (digital media, social blogs, print, direct mail, TV, radio, point of sale). Plus, a demonstrated interest in performance marketing and driving outcomes for your clients’ business.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation/pitch skills
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented attitude
  • Flexibility (e.g., the ability to handle an account where deadlines are tight and client preferences may change suddenly and on short notice)
  • The ability to both work independently and function as a high-performing team member
  • At the top of your game, constantly curious, always learning and motivated to deliver the best creative product
  • Commitment to bringing consistent thought leadership in support of each client's marketing and communication needs
  • Relationship management, project management or process management experience is a must
