About This Position
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Associate’s degree with course work or experience in social work, human resources or related field (BA preferred).
2. Extensive knowledge of community resources, including subsidized childcare programs.
3. Broad knowledge of applicable Federal and State regulations related to childcare.
4. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups, and effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
5. Knowledge of current computing technologies and software applications appropriate to the position’s job responsibilities.
6. Valid driver’s license and the availability of personal transportation.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
1. Coordinates with community resource agency personnel in placing children and assisting families of children needing social services.
2. Assists in resource coordination for at-risk families, including referral to the appropriate community agencies.
3. Assists in the coordination of health screening and diagnostic services, including short-term, informal counseling and conducting direct interviews.
4. Assists in identifying and upgrading potential childcare sites.
5. Ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations, and rules set forth by the funding agency.
6. Assists in staff development activities.
7. Serves as liaison between parents, community resource agency personnel and social needs case counselors.

2. Conducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest traditions of public education and in support of the District’s Mission Statement.
3. Performs other duties as assigned.
