Position Title: Transport Specialist

Position Summary: The Transport Specialist is responsible for safe, accurate, and timely transportation for Conway Medical Center. The Transport Specialist is responsible for transportation needs during the day, evening, occasional nights, and weekends. Qualifications: Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• May substitute high school diploma for ten (10) years of Security Guard experience.

Experience

• Previous law enforcement, security, or public safety experience preferred.
• Clear driving record for a minimum of ten (10) years required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) certification as South Carolina Certified Private Security Officer required.
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s License required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the CMC Ortho teams’ support of Coastal Carolina University athletics.
• Comply with schedules and manage time effectively for pick up and drop off.
• Ensure safe operation by obeying state laws and regulations, considering potential delays and weather conditions.
• Knowledge of traffic patterns and local roads.
• Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.
• Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, and department heads.
• Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.
• Consistently display effective verbal communication skills.
• Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.
• Regularly exercise independent judgement.
• Complete other duties as assigned by department leadership.
