Responsibilities

• Perform clinical testing in blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry and microbiology.
• Obtain or receive specimens adhering to chain of custody standards
• Perform laboratory testing according to established procedures
• Perform and evaluate quality control on a daily basis
• Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation and interpret results as to accuracy
• Oversee MLT and Lab Assistants

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of Medical Technology
• ASCP Certification as Medical Technologist or equivalency
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and use good judgment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a demanding environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
