The OpportunityThe Director, Solutions Architecture is a strategic people leader responsible for building, scaling, and leading a high-performing Solutions Architecture team at SoundHound. This role is pivotal in driving the success of Proof of Concept (POC) and Pilot engagements, ensuring that SoundHound’s AI solutions are expertly positioned, validated, and adopted by enterprise customers. The Director will partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions that align with SoundHound’s business objectives and core values. What You'll Do

• Oversee the creation and delivery of high-quality technical demos, presentations, and pilot engagements. Act as the senior expert and escalation point for complex technical challenges.
• Create and refine the playbooks for technical pre-sales, solution discovery, and customer validation.
• Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate customer needs into winning technical solutions and ensure smooth knowledge sharing.
• Represent the Solutions Architecture team in leadership meetings and help shape the organization's broader strategy.
• Define and track metrics (KPIs) to measure POC/Pilot success, team effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Hire, mentor, and grow a team of Solutions Architects. Build a team culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous learning in line with SoundHound’s values.

What You'll Bring

• 15+ years in Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering, or related technical leadership in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong technical background in Voice AI, Conversational AI, Cloud Platforms, APIs, and systems integration.
• Deep expertise in designing and successfully delivering complex enterprise Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Pilots.
• Proven experience building and leading high-performing technical teams, ideally in high-growth SaaS or AI companies.
• Strategic thinker capable of linking technical solutions directly to business goals and customer needs.
• Experience developing and optimizing pre-sales processes, tools, and metrics.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills, with comfort presenting to C-level executives.
• Willingness to travel as needed for customer and team engagements.

Workplace & Compensation
This position is available for remote work across the United States. Employees within a 60-mile radius of a SoundHound AI office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide “core days” per month to encourage in-person cross-team collaboration.
The estimated base salary for this position is $165,000 - $215,000 plus equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
