About This Position
Position Summary
Provides clerical support and assistance to insure that the business of the department is completed in the most effective, efficient, timely, accurate and customer friendly manner.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Greets and checks in patients for scheduled appointments.
Encounters patients in NextGen and bills accurately in Affinity.
Prepares documents for upcoming intakes.
Regularly reviews and updates insurance & demographic information required for billing.
Guides clients to appropriate services when in Emergency Services waiting area.
Provides telephone coverage on a daily basis.
Answers crisis calls and directs them to the appropriate clinician.

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
Minimum of two years experience in an office environment.
Preferred:
None
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Electronic Billing and Data collection systems.
Preferred:
Familiar with Affinity and working knowledge of Next Gen EMR.
