About This Position
The RN is accountable for utilizing the nursing process throughout the provision of patient/family care. The RN is responsible for delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. The RN is responsible for coordinating the care of patients and consulting other disciplines of the healthcare team as indicated. The RN functions collaboratively with the medical staff and the other disciplines to provide and enhance patient care. The RN adheres to all nursing policies and proactively strives to maintain and improve quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for facilitating patient care, anticipating patient care needs, individualizing patient care and adjusting or modifying the nursing plan of care as appropriate. The RN will possess and utilize effective technical skills for the provision of safe and appropriate care, in example, general post-op care, pharmacology knowledge, and assessment skills.
All applicants will be expected to sign a one-year commitment in which the nurse will work a 12-hour shift on Saturday and a 12-hour shift on Sunday, earning six bonus hours per 12-hour shift completed, for a total of 36 hours/weekend. Weekend differential and holiday pay apply for hours worked. Staff member may take up to two weekends off per year.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Missouri RN license.
BLS certified
ACLS and PALS certified, or willing to obtain within six months of hire.
One year of hospital inpatient experience.
ICU experience preferred.
