Cook at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Under the direct supervision of the Nutritional Services Production Manager, the position cooks food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors.
Job Knowledge:

• Will have a basic understanding of safety and sanitation regulations relative to food-service operations and procedures.
• Knows basic food preparation techniques and knowledge of patient and/or cafeteria food-service operations and procedures.
• Medium Work — ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly.

Qualifications:

• High School or graduate equivalency exam preferred.
• The individual should be able to read written instructions well and also be able to follow oral instructions.
• Further training in quality food preparation techniques and sanitation is desirable.
