About This Position
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately packaging and shipping patient prescriptions in a timely, compliant manner. This role plays a critical part in patient safety and satisfaction, as shipping accuracy directly impacts medication delivery, confidentiality, and trust. Will consider part time for the right candidate. Saturdays will be included in the work schedule.
The Shipping Clerk serves as a representative of ProCompounding Pharmacy and is expected to demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail at all times. This position requires consistency, accountability, and the ability to follow established procedures while communicating clearly with patients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping and Order Processing
• Package prescriptions using correct materials and methods to protect product integrity
• Process daily shipping orders and enter required information into the pharmacy dispensing system
• Accurately input patient addresses and shipping details
• Print and apply shipping and packaging labels correctly
• Deliver packages to appropriate shipping and drop-off facilities
• Research shipment tracking issues and resolve delivery concerns as needed
Inventory and Department Support
• Load and unload delivery trucks as required
• Order shipping supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Assist with organization and efficiency within the shipping department
Patient and Team Communication
• Make outgoing calls to patients to verify shipping information when needed
• Communicate professionally with patients, coworkers, and leadership
• Escalate address discrepancies, shipping errors, or delays promptly

• 1–2 years of experience in shipping, packaging, receiving, or stocking
• Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy software and data entry processes
• Dependable attendance and consistent job performance
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others
