About This Position

The Interior Planning and Move Supervisor recommends and/or updates standards for the purposes of space allocation, move organization, furniture, and wayfinding. This position assists in the creation, maintenance, and communication of a Moffitt Cancer Center ("MCC") Master Plan, in support of the strategic and programmatic plans of the institution. This position assists in defining space programs and strategies for both mid and long-range planning efforts, and evaluates the use of the Center's physical facilities, as well as the effective utilization of space and the projection of future space needs.

EDUCATION

  • Required: High School Diploma/GED
  • Preferred Education: Associate's Degree

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

  • Minimum Required: FL- Driver's License (DL)

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Experience Required

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Moves and Relocation operations or coordinating space planning/or interior design efforts in a hospital or healthcare related environment.
  • Minimum (3 years) Logistical services support experience required; inclusive of a minimum of one (1) year team lead, project lead or supervisory experience required
  • Minimum (3 years) using Computer Aided Management Software.

Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required

  • Ability to work with minimal direction.
  • Organizations (“TJC”), as it relates to interior space planning and related activities
  • Demonstrates computer skills required for word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently without supervision. Demonstrated ability to follow up and follow through.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and use a battery-operated power jack.
  • Must be able to drive a Box Truck
  • Ability to engage in a team and foster a positive, caring, respectful, team building environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and make good judgments through daily operational challenge

Preferred Experience

  • Experience coordinating move and relocation operations and logistics highly preferred.
  • 1-2 years project management experience and/or working with Project Management.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe loading/unloading practices preferred. Preferred Skills/Specialized Training
  • Ability to multi-task completing priorities, projects, and daily work.
  • Adaptability to unplanned or unexpected changes.

Essential Function

  • Move Project Management:
  • Develop relocation plans and timelines for employees or departments.
  • Maintains and/or improves customer and patient satisfaction. Act as a point of contact for employees being relocated.
  • Monitors staff production, planning, coordinating, and monitoring processes.
  • Coordinates with IT, Security, Facilities, PDC Space Planning and Programing, Major Project Management Team, Research Support Services, Environmental Services and any/all Moffitt departments to ensure Move and Relocation team members and patients are safe from harm during transitory times.
  • Responds to routine and emergency internal/external requests for assistance via phone, text, email or in-person; collects pertinent information, deploys staff and equipment as deemed appropriate and keeps management apprised of all current events.
  • Anticipates and mitigates potential risks (delays, damage, compliance issues).
  • Develops contingency plans for unexpected challenges.
  • Assists OR, PM’s, IT, Research, Space Planning, Design and Construction, and all medical departments in transporting items promptly and safely to departments on any Moffitt campuses or support locations.
  • Maintains accurate records of moves and expenses.
  • Ensure Alignment with Policies and Budgets
  • Asset and Storage Property Management
