Inspector at Engineered Materials Solutions – Colorado Springs, Colorado

EMS, Thin Metal Parts is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Visual Inspector to join our quality assurance team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and are free from defects.

Summary: Visually inspect, by eye or microscope, variety of parts to ensure products are manufactured according to customer specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Measure thickness of parts when required.
• Utilize microscope to inspect parts for long periods of time.
• Interface with multiple levels of company personnel.
• Fill in for operators in other areas when appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Math and computer training preferred.

Other Considerations:

• Extensive knowledge of / ability to learn TMP database system.
• Demonstrable PC skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to use various tools such as a micrometer, vernier caliper, and drop gauge a plus.
• Able to read blueprints/drawings.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
• Fluent English written and verbal skills.
