James Blinds Ohio is seeking a skilled, dependable Associate Installer to join our Columbus team.

This role is ideal for someone with strong construction/hand tool experience who can quickly grow into supporting key field functions such as jobsite measuring, punch work, and advanced installation support.

Blind installation experience is preferred, but candidates with strong commercial construction backgrounds and transferable skills are encouraged to apply.

As an Associate Installer, you will support the installation of commercial window treatment systems while developing toward independent responsibility for measuring, punch completion, and higher-complexity installation work.

• Install commercial blinds, shades, and related window treatment systems
• Support lead installers on active projects and progressively take ownership of more complex work
• Perform jobsite measurements and assist with punch-list completion as trained
• Read and interpret blueprints, elevations, and manufacturer specifications
• Maintain installation quality, efficiency, and professionalism on site
• Complete job documentation and communicate project updates clearly
• Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols
• Assist with material handling, inventory, and jobsite organization
• Travel to out-of-state projects as needed

• Commercial construction experience required
• Strong hand/power tool proficiency required
• Blind/window treatment installation experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and work with precision
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Reliable transportation to/from Columbus office
• Willingness and ability to travel out of state as project needs require

• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Work on ladders/scaffolding at varying heights
• Bend, kneel, stand, and work physically throughout the day
