Responsibilities:
- Operate precision machining equipment, including conventional and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, to build, repair, and modify tooling, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and dies requiring advanced technical expertise.
- Interpret sketches, detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and verbal instructions to plan and execute complex machining tasks.
- Perform intricate machining operations involving complex setups while maintaining high accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
- Execute advanced mathematical calculations and develop, edit, or optimize CNC programs to support machining processes.
- Ensure full compliance with all safety and security regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment usage, maintenance activities, and production processes.
- Manufacture components to exact specifications, ensuring adherence to required tolerances and design requirements.
- Stay current with and comply with all applicable federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Participate in required training programs and continuous development initiatives to maintain technical competency.
- Contribute to work planning efforts by identifying potential hazards and recommending appropriate safety controls.
- Exercise the right to halt work if safety risks are identified for oneself or others.
- Attend all mandatory safety meetings and training sessions.
- Proactively recommend improvements to processes, equipment, and overall work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to perform all assigned duties and responsibilities effectively.
- Meet all pre-employment and ongoing job requirements.
- Strong ability to read, write, and interpret technical documents, instructions, and drawings.
- Physically capable of performing job-related tasks, as determined by a medical evaluation.
- Completion of an 8,000-hour approved apprenticeship or trainee program in tool and die, or a minimum of four (4) years of relevant hands-on experience in tool and die operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tooling equipment, machining processes, and industry-standard tools.
- All work history, education, and training must be verifiable through documentation or employer references.
- Ability to successfully pass a detailed interview and background evaluation process.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
