About This Position

SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the 340B Analyst is responsible for pharmacy systems and outcomes in the following areas: Drug product mapping, accumulations, 340B Program compliance, monthly reporting, dispensing patterns, and inventory process systems, invoice review and billing processes, informational support and maintenance in systems/technology, contract pharmacy system integrity and compliance, and self-audit process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate Degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent education and/or related work experience

Experience: 3-5 years of related experience as a data or program analyst; healthcare and/or experience with database applications are a plus; 340B Discount Program knowledge and understanding preferred.

Certifications: Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Arkansas required or must apply and submit application for registration prior to date of hire, and obtain registration within thirty (30) days of date of hire. To be eligible for this registration through the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy, individual must: Possess high school diploma or GED, have good moral character and temperance and habits, pass a state and federal background check, complete and submit application for pharmacy technician registration and pay appropriate fee to the Board.

Other: Trained in general use of pharmacy and drug wholesaler computers; knowledge of inventory systems and processes; experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook including advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e., pivot tables, is critical); detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to complete projects timely and accurately; adapt to changes in workload and schedule to meet patient needs; proven ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and tactfully (both written and verbal); and foster a team environment by providing support for orientation/training to new pharmacy staff. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Ability to concentrate for long periods of time and ability to travel as required.

Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Business or Computer Science

Safety Sensitive Designation:

This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

Work Environment:

Pharmacy setting, within a hospital environment, to include Emergency Department, Patient Care Units, Patient Rooms and Pharmacy. Potential exposure to hazardous or toxic substances (e.g., chemotherapeutic and/or cytotoxic drugs and cleaning solutions.
