Intern at Columbia Memorial Hospital – Astoria, Oregon

Interns will be involved in a variety of daily tasks and projects throughout CMH in order to have the opportunity to participate in and learn about healthcare initiatives and operations while developing career readiness and technical skills.

Job Requirements
Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to: Strong attention to detail. Exhibits desire to learn and upgrade skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn other hospital-based software programs. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Interested in healthcare as a future profession. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.

License/Certification: BLS required if doing hands-on patient care.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of materials up to 25 lbs. May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment. May be exposed to certain infectious diseases.
