About This Position

Description:

SUMMARY

The Pricing & Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in coordinating the company’s sales and project execution functions through the entirety of the sales cycle. This position facilitates the operational bridge between account executives, planners, vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure proposed solutions are accurate and complete and projects are aligned with customer expectations, vendor capabilities, and internal standards.

Core Functions of the Role:

  • Generate and manage purchase orders for installation, freight, rigging, and vendor services at the time of order.
  • Provide special pricing quotes during the quoting process to support Sales and Inside Sales.
  • Verify costs for labor, freight, delivery, and vendor services using company tools and spreadsheets.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Inside Sales teams to ensure quotes align with project requirements.
  • Ensure cost analyses meet departmental standards prior to release.
  • Maintain organized records of vendor quotes and special pricing agreements.
  • Handle non-standard quote requests by sourcing and providing actual operational cost quotes when required.
  • Provide feedback on recurring cost or pricing issues and suggest process improvements.
  • Manage multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform additional responsibilities related to General Contractor (GC) work as required.
  • Handle softgoods quote requests and manage the processes involved for softgoods orders.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate operational cost coverage on all projects.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in cost analysis, estimating, pricing, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of installation, freight, and rigging cost drivers preferred.
  • Excellent mathematical skills, including markup, profit margin, and cost allocation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across Sales and Inside Sales teams.

Education/Experience: Associate’s Degree or equivalent; two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
