ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plans, organizes, and coordinates daily pickups and drop-offs of regular and special patients; makes quick and efficient decisions throughout the day, utilizing the best option or the closest available driver to complete all trips as efficiently as possible; schedules patient pickups for the following business day; is responsible for daily communication between drivers and the Base, while reporting to the Manager any vehicle malfunctions, driver misconduct, or any other incidents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Dispatcher plans, organizes, and coordinates the daily volume of patient trips.
-Enforce transportation rules, regulations, and procedures to control daily operations while drivers are on route.
-The Dispatcher is the first point of contact with the driver and maintains constant telephone communication with them. They are responsible for reporting traffic accidents or incidents, vehicle malfunctions, driver misconduct, or any other incidents.
-Operates a computer program to maintain up-to-date records of transportation information, including GPS monitoring to determine the exact location of all vehicles throughout the day.
-Ensure that drivers pick up patients on time, making the correct decisions to ensure they arrive on time for their appointments and, once completed, return them home as quickly as possible.
-Focuses on the daily transportation schedule to avoid unnecessary driver overtime.
-Coordinates the preparation of routes for the following day, scheduling, and verifies information for each trip.
-Organizes work to meet schedules and deadlines in an environment of constantly changing priorities.
-Acts as a liaison for transferring travel to external sources, as needed and if authorized.
-Report any incidents or delays with patients to the Manager for proper investigation.
-Other duties as assigned.
