Job Title: Accessioner (Overnight Shift)
Location: Elmhurst, IL
Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Hours: Monday to Friday, Overnight Shift, 8 PM to 4 AM
Compensation: $18 to $19 per hour

TriLab Health is a leader in medical testing, recognized for our quality and accuracy in laboratory services. We are looking for a dedicated Accessioner to join our overnight shift team, contributing to the efficiency and success of our laboratory.
Job Overview:
As an Accessioner, you will be integral in preparing, handling, and processing laboratory specimens. This role is ideal for someone with a background in biology, chemistry, or a related medical field and who is comfortable working with urine and blood specimens. Key Responsibilities:
- Specimen Processing: Prepare and process laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
- Organization: Unpack and organize specimens to their designated areas.
- Identification and Labeling: Accurately identify and label specimens.
- Goal Achievement: Achieve departmental goals for activity and production.
- Specimen Management: Manage and store excess specimen samples effectively.
- Data Entry: Conduct precise and timely data entry of patient information.
- Problem Resolution: Address and document issues with problem specimens.
- Document Handling: Scan and handle patient information documents.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED (Required). Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field (Preferred).
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an Accessioner (Preferred, not required). Laboratory experience (Preferred).
- Skills: Proficient in data entry with a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (Required). Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment (Required). Comfortable handling urine and blood specimens (Required).
- Background: Experience in a medical field (e.g., doctor's office, patient care, pharmacy technician) (Preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 10-30 lbs.
- Capability to stand, sit, and bend for prolonged periods.

- This role is specifically for the overnight shift.
