You will define and drive both short- and long-term product strategies across key markets such as oral solid dose, generics, OTC, consumer health, and animal health. Acting as a key leader within a cross-functional “pod” structure, you will collaborate closely with marketing, R&D, and commercial teams to translate customer needs into impactful product and innovation roadmaps. The position plays a critical role in shaping how life-saving therapeutic solutions are developed, positioned, and commercialized globally. You will also serve as a bridge between technical operations and commercial stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the value chain. This is a highly strategic, customer-facing role within a complex, global matrix environment where influence and collaboration are essential.

Accountabilities

This role is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of the small molecule therapeutics portfolio:

  • Define and execute short- and long-term portfolio strategy aligned with market needs and innovation priorities in small molecule therapeutics.
  • Lead product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization, ensuring successful development and market launch of new offerings.
  • Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and commercial teams to identify customer needs, market opportunities, and innovation pathways.
  • Serve as a customer advocate, bridging commercial teams and technical/operations functions to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Develop business cases, financial models, and data-driven insights to support portfolio decisions and investment priorities.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to inform portfolio positioning and growth strategy.
  • Operate effectively within a global matrix organization, leveraging cross-functional relationships to maximize portfolio impact.
Requirements

This role requires strong experience in pharmaceutical product strategy and cross-functional leadership within complex environments:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, portfolio management, marketing, or commercial roles within biopharmaceutical or related industries.
  • Proven track record of managing complex product portfolios and leading cross-functional initiatives from concept to commercialization.
  • Strong business acumen with experience developing financial models and strategic business cases.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical or therapeutics markets, ideally within small molecules or related domains.
  • Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Customer-centric approach with strong understanding of market and competitive dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including internationally.
