Compensation: $85 – $90 per hour (based on experience)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care team. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment and is passionate about providing immediate, high-quality mental health care.
As a PMHNP, you will play a critical role in stabilizing patients in crisis, conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and risk evaluationsDiagnose and treat a range of mental health and substance use disordersDevelop and implement individualized treatment plansPrescribe and manage psychotropic medicationsProvide brief therapy, crisis intervention, and stabilization servicesCollaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical providersEnsure accurate and timely clinical documentationCoordinate referrals and transitions to appropriate levels of care
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)Active, unrestricted license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)Minimum 2 years of psychiatric clinical experience, four years’ experience preferredStrong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or related doctoral degreeExperience in urgent care, crisis response, or emergency psychiatryExperience serving diverse and underserved populationsBilingual (English/Spanish or other languages)Board Certified PMHNP
