Brief Job Overview/Summary

The School of Arts & Humanities is expanding its pool of qualified adjunct (part-time) instructors. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days and evenings. Services are contracted on a semester/term basis.

The Stockton University Visual Arts Program on Stockton Galloway campus seeks adjunct instructors to teach 1000 level foundations Intro to 3D Design courses as well as the 2000 level Sculpture 1 course.

Classes are 2.5 hours and meet twice a week. Time slots Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 to 11:00, 11:20 to 1:50, 2:00 - 4:30, or 6:00pm-8:30pm. While all services are contracted on a semester/term basis, these courses are part of the core Visual Arts Curriculum, and successful candidates will be considered for ongoing and consistently scheduled teaching opportunities.

• Teach Undergraduate courses as scheduled
• Access student work and provide timely feedback
• Use Blackboard (the Learning Management System) to support the course
• Support Stockton University’s strong student-centered vision and mission

Required Qualifications:

• M.F.A. degree in subject or a related field
• Previous college-level teaching experience in subject area or related field
