About This Position
Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer education, enrollment, and day-to-day operations of all benefits including medical, dental, vision, group life insurance, supplemental life insurance, LTD, 401k, medical and dependent FSA and HSA, COBRA, and FMLA. Handle Benefits questions and issues according to company processes.
- Provide ongoing support and customer service for 1400+ employees nationwide
- Ensure compliance with all ACA, DOL, and IRS benefit-related regulations and reporting
- Manages leave of absence process including, but not limited to, providing necessary leave documentation to employees, assist employees and managers with questions/updates regarding leave status, requesting and reviewing medical documentation from providers, and collection of payment from employee
- Conducts various daily, weekly and monthly audits relating to benefit plans and employee elections; corrects any discrepancies, as needed
- Provide analytical and technical support during enrollment periods
- Provides ongoing maintenance of employee benefits files and updating employee records
- Maintains compliance with all company and outside vendor policies and procedures
- Contact new employees by phone to assist with questions in benefits enrollment process
- Attend and / or facilitate the weekly benefits overview training, as assigned
- Ensures company benefits training and reference material remain up to date on company’s intranet
- Assist with employee’s questions and escalated benefits issues by phone and email
- Respond to emails within department’s service level agreement
- Prepares and communicates benefit related company announcements, benefits webinar invitations, and benefit cancellation notices to employees
- Receives and processes various mail items including court orders, remitted benefit payments, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

What We'll Love About You:
- 2 years of benefits or HR related experience preferred (but willing to train)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Online Enrollment, and ability to type 50+WPM)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of benefit-related laws and regulations preferred/acquired
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and benefit provider's systems
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Ability to research and interpret federal, state and company benefit related requirements, over multiple platforms
- High School Diploma or GED Required; Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred
- Must successfully pass Drug Screening & Criminal Background Review.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk, while working on a computer
