About This Position
The Hilton Garden Inn Corning Downtown, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is currently seeking a DRIVEN Food & Beverage Manager for our on-site restaurant. Supervisory and Cooking experience is required. Working hours include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and quality food and drinks.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department, including the restaurant, bar, and banquet facilities
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability of the department
- Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet or exceed guest expectations and are in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Hire, train, and manage staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, vendors, and other departments within the organization
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Develop and implement cost control measures to ensure profitability
- Create and maintain budgets for the department
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends and best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
