About This Position
The Shop Electrician will be responsible for various tasks related to compressed air systems and industrial machinery. These tasks include, but are not limited to – installation of commercial/industrial electrical systems (conduit, panel install, wiring/termination), mechanical system installs (piping, electrical, machinery). The successful candidate should be proficient in both mechanical and electrical systems.
Requirements:Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required with technical training in welding/fabrication, electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics preferred.
- 5 -10 years of strong electrical skills (3 phase, single phase, and control) with demonstrated expertise in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial/commercial electrical systems.
- Ability to install/bend conduit, set panels and terminate is required.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Air Compressor experience a plus.
- HVAC and Control experience a plus, but not required.
- Carpentry experience a plus.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver s License.
- Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism.
- Able to complete work within assigned deadlines.
- Computer proficiency as required for communication, research, work orders and programming various controllers.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel for report purposes
- Wear protective equipment (such as hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection)
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a non-standard work week)
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.

Job Type
This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week.
Travel
Up to 5% travel may be required.
