About This Position

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll & Accounting Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience and an accounting background (or recent graduate) who is looking to grow into a full accounting role within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview

This role will primarily be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, while also supporting the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations. The right candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to develop into a broader accounting position.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for field and office staff
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, including hours, commissions, bonuses, and deductions
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Support month-end close processes
  • Help reconcile payroll and general ledger accounts
  • Work closely with management and HR on payroll-related matters
  • Assist with reporting and other accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll processing preferred
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing)
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Experience with payroll/accounting software is a plus

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in payroll processing.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Paylocity is a plus!
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
