Position Summary

The Warehouse Utility Clerk is responsible for accurately preparing customer orders for shipment while meeting daily productivity standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to company and DOT regulations, and the ability to process orders efficiently to meet same-day shipping requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Warehouse Utility Clerk ensures accurate product and quantity selection based on customer shipping orders. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Accurately select products from the warehouse according to customer orders (20–35%)
  • Verify product type and quantities to ensure order accuracy (20–30%)
  • Complete all required shipping and order documentation accurately (10–15%)
  • Apply appropriate labels to products for shipping compliance (25%)
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and DOT regulations

    • Marginal Duties

    The following tasks may be reassigned as needed:

  • Assist with packaging and shipping preparation
  • Assist in labeling operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

    • Qualifications

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to meet productivity standards in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic paperwork and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience preferred

    • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 65 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and handle warehouse products as required

    • Work Environment

  • Warehouse setting with exposure to shipping equipment and materials
  • Compliance with all safety and operational guidelines is required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, understand, and perform basic math functions
  • Ability to follow written instructions accurately and consistently
  • Ability to complete required paperwork and documentation accurately
