Summary: Operates cash register in Cafeteria, Cafe Shalom, or Marketplace; receives payments, gives change, and performs related clerical and sales duties depending on assignment.

Responsibilities: Operates the cash register, makes correct change, and issues receipts. Reconciles cash receipts after each meal period, and completes cash handling records according to department procedure. Counts money received and deposits with Supervisor. Performs full range of sales duties to actively promote sales; offers assistance, answers questions regarding merchandise hours, etc. ; suggests items for purchase, explains merchandise and pricing; wraps or bags merchandise. Stocks, arranges, straightens, and cleans shelves, other shop areas, and storage area. Delivers merchandise from storage area to shop; Receives and unpacks shipments; verifies accuracy inspects items for damage, defects, or spoilage as appropriate. Prepares coffee and assembles a limited range of salads/sandwiches
