Advanced Practice Registered Nurse at Med Center Health – Bowling Green, Kentucky

Position Summary

The Inpatient Gastroenterology (GI) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) functions as a key clinical provider within the GI Hospitalist Service, delivering comprehensive inpatient care to patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders. Working collaboratively with GI hospitalists, consulting physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams, the APRN provides evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, care coordination, and patient education across the inpatient continuum.

This role supports high-quality, evidence-based care, promotes efficient throughput, and ensures continuity of care from admission through discharge.

Minimum Qualifications

• Two years of advanced practice experience preferred; inpatient or gastroenterology experience strongly preferred.
• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Current licensure as an APRN in the state of Kentucky (or eligible) required.
• Current DEA registration (or eligible).
• National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care) preferred.
