Occupational Therapist
Position Summary
Kootenai Health is pleased to offer an opportunity for a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will design and implement individualized occupational therapy programs for adults living with neurological conditions. Your clinical expertise will inform evidence-based intervention plans that support the development, restoration, and maintenance of functional skills essential for independence and meaningful participation in daily activities.
Responsibilities
• Teaches patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities
• Studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress
• Performs a variety of tasks
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
• Typically reports to a manager
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
• Graduate of a nationally accredited school of occupational therapy required
• Current Occupational Therapy License in the State of Idaho required
Working Conditions
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
