WHAT WILL YOU DO AT POWELL?

• Work with clients in the advertising, marketing, media and tech sectors

• Assist in writing, editing and proofreading communication materials (i.e., press releases, media pitches and client correspondence)
• Stay current on industry trends and social media
• Create and build media lists for pitching
• Provide support in researching, compiling and analyzing media coverage for clients (i.e., news clippings, media recap reports)
• Write social copy drafts amplifying PR placements and supporting PR messaging and strategies for clients and Powell
• Track and analyze social media performance data for ongoing optimization and best in class deliverables
• Provide administrative support to the team as required
• Contributing to all aspects of account planning and strategy - including participating in client and /or, internal team meetings, brainstorms, etc.
• Handle media inquiries

• Agency or communications experience preferred
• Must possess a BS/BA or relevant professional experience
• A strong understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and social media
• Social media experience a plus
• Motivated self-starter
• Solid written and verbal communications skills
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
• Naturally curious and enthusiastic about learning new subjects
