Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The candidate will participate in all teaching activities of the Department, including conferences and lectures, with teaching and funds; house staff supervision in the operating room, clinics, and inpatient services; continuing medical education; and local, regional, and national meetings. Students include medical students, house staff, and allied health students. He/she is also responsible for advancing clinical knowledge through his/her scholarly and research efforts and will participate in either basic research(laboratory) or clinical research and publication of scientific articles. In addition, the person in this position will have administrative responsibilities, including supervising and evaluating residents, providing medical direction, and serving on committees at the department and Health System levels. This provider will be deployed at Brittany Bay Clinic for 2 1/2-3 days and will provide surgical services at the League City Campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate should be a graduate of an accredited medical school, have completed an ACGME approved residency training program in otolaryngology, with training and interest in laryngology, be Certified/Board Eligible in Otolaryngology and be eligible for or have a Texas Medical License without restrictions.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
