Job Description
Advanex Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering on-the-job training for new and existing employees to ensure safety, quality and operational efficiency. This role ensures employees are properly trained on manufacturing processes, equipment, quality requirements, safety standards and company procedures. This position partners closely with Quality, Production and HR leadership to assess training needs, implement effective learning solutions and track employee competency.
- Train new / current operators to most current standards, work instructions, processes and procedures through classroom, hands-on and on-the-job training.
- Develop, implement and maintain training programs including onboarding, cross-training and skills advancement.
- Maintain an understanding of the following to train effectively:
- Packaging/Bag Sealing and Labeling
- Measuring parts with gauges and calipers
- Recording production, scrap and printing labels through Plex
- Coil change process
- Quality checks per equipment to standard based on material, part, and/or customer
- Leads the standardization and alignment of quality measurement practices and techniques across all departments, ensuring consistency, accuracy and adherence to company and customer standards.
- Evaluate employee skill levels and verify competency through assessments, observations/audits, and performance tracking.
- Demonstrates strong judgement in identifying high-potential employees and proactively addresses performance gaps, contributing to the development of top performers while helping to mitigate ongoing poor performance or inability to meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, ISO requirements and other applicable regulatory requirements; participating in audits as required.
- Monitor effectiveness of training and recommend improvements; Collaborate with departmental leadership to identify training gaps and implement corrective training initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining the work structure by recommending updates to job requirements and job descriptions for all manufacturing positions.
- Facilitate weekly check-ins with new and temporary employees to ensure clarity of job responsibilities, provide coaching/feedback, address questions and identify potential concerns to support employee engagement and retention efforts.
- Spends a minimum of 80% of time delivering training, conducting training audits, and performing follow-ups with employees to reinforce learning and ensure effectiveness; this role is not intended to be primarily desk based.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Associates / Bachelor’s in Technical field preferred
• 3-5 years Manufacturing experience
• PLEX experience preferred
• Experience designing and delivering learning experiences in person
• 1+ years facilitating training in a manufacturing environment
• Experience providing coaching and constructive feedback
• Experience with LMS a plus
• Experience measuring parts in manufacturing environment
