This position provides community-based peer support services to youth and young adults within a structured prevention and recovery program. Services include individual and group-based support, curriculum delivery, outreach, and care coordination aimed at promoting emotional, behavioral, and social wellbeing.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
You will provide peer support services to youth and young adults (24 years and younger) with lived experience related to emotional, behavioral, social, or substance use challenges. Using your lived experience and training, you will support participants in developing coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and strengthening self-advocacy.
You will facilitate curriculum-based programming focused on prevention, recovery support, life skills development, communication, stress management, self-esteem, and healthy decision-making. Services will be delivered in both individual and group settings.
You will conduct outreach and recruitment activities to engage youth and families through schools, community organizations, clinics, and other community-based settings. This includes collaboration with internal programs and external partners to expand access to services and increase community engagement.
WHO YOU ARE?
You are an individual with lived experience as a youth or young adult (24 years or younger) who has experienced emotional, behavioral, social, or substance use-related challenges and is currently in recovery or treatment.
You are comfortable working in community-based environments and engaging directly with youth, families, and community partners. You demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.
You are organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities, including outreach activities, documentation, and service coordination. You understand the importance of confidentiality, professional boundaries, and culturally responsive service delivery.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:
- · High School Diploma or GED required
- · 2+ years of related experience preferred
- · Ability to work effectively with individuals who have experienced trauma
- · Ability to work in an active environment
- · Current Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- · Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- · Must pass a background screening prior to starting employment
- · Valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of registration/insurance required
- · Must be 21 years of age to drive on behalf of CPLC, Inc
- · Bilingual English/Spanish required
